May COVID-19 Update

Face-to-face appointments re-opening!

In line with current public health advice and the progressive easing of restrictions, we will re-open for face-to-face appointments from Monday 11th May. Initially, we anticipate this to be on a limited number of days and hours per week with priority given to urgent appointments, but will re-evaluate the situation based on need and ongoing public health data. We appreciate your understanding.

Unfortunately there will still be no hydrotherapy available at this stage, as the Lady Davidson pool remains closed to all outpatients, but we will update you as soon as this changes.

We are also continuing to offer Telehealth sessions via computer video link or over the phone at discounted rates for anyone needing:

  • ongoing review of their existing rehabilitation program
  • advice on a new injury
  • or implementation of a temporary home exercise program in place of their usual gym or hydrotherapy sessions

These sessions are bulk-billed for everyone with a Medicare EPC referral and all DVA Gold Card holders (Veterans).

In spite of the easing of restrictions, we continue to recommend ongoing diligence with regular hand washing and infection control, as well as avoiding non-essential social interaction. Those in high risk categories, such as the immunocompromised or the very elderly should still minimise their social contact and self-isolate as much as possible.
As always, continue your existing home exercises and we look forward to seeing you soon.
