In line with our pre-Christmas plans, Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy and Gym sessions will recommence from Monday 10th January.

However due to the recent surge in COVID cases all NSW hospitals have now gone to code red COVID precautions. This unfortunately means that once again all patients going to the pool or gym must have returned a negative COVID test result  either a negative PCR test result from the previous 7 days prior to your appointment or alternatively, a negative Rapid Antigen test is now accepted by the hospital if done on the morning of your appointment. You will need to provide proof of your test result to be admitted to the gym or pool – either by showing the text message / email from the pathology lab for PCR tests, or a photo of your rapid antigen test from that morning. Masks remain mandatory when within the hospital.

Physiotherapy appointments in the consulting suites are not effected by this change, and no COVID test prior to your physio appointment in the consulting room is required.

I understand how inconvenient and frustrating these increased precautions are, especially given the demand and wait times for PCR tests and the poor supply of Rapid Antigen Tests, but we are once again at the mercy of the hospital’s COVID restrictions and are simply doing our best to keep everyone (staff and patients) safe.

If due to the new COVID testing requirements you need to cancel or reschedule an existing appointment, please call our reception on 1300 00 2074 or reply by email.
